Instructional Leadership and Design
Focused on advancing instructional equity and educator-led innovation, this work involves designing and leading research-based initiatives that center teacher voice, student strengths, and community-informed practice. It includes developing professional learning experiences, facilitating collaborative think tanks, and contributing to national resources that integrate mathematics instruction with social-emotional learning and equity principles. Through these efforts, it bridges classroom practice with broader systems change.
Instructional Leadership Corps
The Instructional Leadership Corps (ILC) is a teacher-led initiative that supports sustainable, standards-based professional learning across California. Through this network, I led and supported efforts to design and deliver professional development focused on equity, instructional shifts, and teacher collaboration. The ILC fosters educator leadership by empowering teachers to drive meaningful change in their schools and districts.
Equitable Math Toolkit Content Developer
The Ed‑Trust West Equitable Math Toolkit (Stride 3) is a comprehensive resource designed to support culturally responsive math instruction and integrate social-emotional strategies. As a content developer, I shaped materials that center Black, Latinx, and multilingual learners, with tools promoting deeper engagement, equity, and student voice in grades 6–8. This toolkit empowers educators with practical guidance to transform classroom practices for more inclusive and effective math teaching.
